A landform is emphasized in Feng Shui. I understand the importance of it and the concept of it. However, I don't understand why property boundary/line or shape has anything to do with Feng Shui. It is know by the government or legal recording system, the owner, and the neighbors what the property shape and boundary line are. On the contrary, "Feng Shui" or "energy" wouldn't know where the dividing line is. Let's say that there are 3 flat squared property lots next to one another. If we don't draw two lines to divide the land into 3 lots, the people other than the owner, neighbors, or the government officers with the record, would not even know the land actually being 3 sections. Energy itself only cares about how to flow. If there is no obstacles or fence in between, why would energy know the "man made lines?" Thus, why is it so important to have a rectangle or square shape lot than irregular, if all the irregular shape lots are connecting to one another (it's usually the way), without a fence in between?

Thanks

Hi Chueh,

Shapes? The reason is because of Yin Yang.
History of beginning of feng shui got tips (Indirectly).

I think the lines wont affect the feng shui, the landform does.

Dear Chueh and Yayahoo,

Coincidence I see you two again in a FS thread, please let me join this discussion for a fresh air walk out the Love-room.

Chueh:

Feng Shui Energy is sometimes a Mystery for me, like a boundary between our Consciousness and sub-consciousness. Although it is a different kind of topic, but a man is always connected with FS, so your boundary and property lots with or without a fence.

In my experiences a property with its shape or its land-form is always connected with their Destiny. The Harmony of the Trinity must be in Balance, with or without a "man-made lines". Everything has a meaning, although we couldn't know the reason behind it.

A great question, chueh

Long ago, China "houses" were actually compounds of buildings often enclosed in a wall. So shape was "real."
But looking at the other side of it (and perhaps reflecting what Saphora wrote?) why would the "man made" property shape be of less impact than a bagua mirror or placing a plant in a certain sector? It is all part of our "internal reality" and so has an effect. Can we live on a property and yet be unaware of the boundary?
Don't despair. The situation may not be nearly as bad as you think.

All the above wisdoms come from the human thoughts and their everyday practical experience. Very simple question to anyone to ponder, if you wants buy a land to build a house and there are two options for you to select:

A) 4000 sf in rectangular - 40ft x 100 ft. $200k

B ) 4000sf in triangular - 40ft x 200ft. $200k

Which one do you think you will take the deal?

Why?

Hi xkfan,

It really depends on what life of the person want to be.
A triangular form may not be totally bad as compare to rectangular or vice versa.
If anyone knew one very famous practitioner in KL, that his house is Triangular.
Special? Perhaps someone already knew the reason why.

Sure triangular shape never be bad, always. Are you sure only triangle shape has the yin yang difference? Can't I apply in the regular shape?

By the way who's the kl famous practitioner you meant?
