This issue we’d like to welcome on board several new and returning contributors. My cousin Honey Lim returns to Malaysia from New Zealand after being based there 6 years and joins FSW full time. She’s no stranger to feng shui having blogged and consulted on it for the last ten years. She brings a refreshing angle to the magazine and also a wealth of experience in IT, her forte, so readers can look forward to more in terms of our online and multimedia presence in the future. For those of you who haven’t yet checked out our online edition, please do so at www.fswmag.com – subscribers of our print edition get free access to our digital version, which includes audio and video clips, links to more info and other new and exciting media-rich features.
Amelia Neo of WOFS Singapore also joins us this issue, recounting her day spent as the private feng shui tourguide of Hollywood superstar Will Smith’s mom Caroline. She’s not the only Lillian Too graduate helping celebrities align their feng shui; Marites Allen of WOFS Philippines has been doing equally exciting things in her part of the world, assisting the Aquino family in the run-up to the latest Presidential Elections, and as we go to print, Benigno Aquino will have been inaugurated as the 15th Philippines President.
Marie-Lise Chabtini, our correspondent from Dubai relates the true story of how her family home impacted on her feng shui, and how karma got her out of a rut and onto a plane to Malaysia to meet Lillian Too. Meanwhile from India, Vedic astrologer Jyoti Arora analyses the chart of Bollywood heartthrob Shahrukh Khan, while Vaastu expert Surendran introduces soil analysis for luck and prosperity.
Our lead story from Lillian Too this issue features the feng shui of your WALLS; yes, too often we worry about aligning our fixtures and furniture that we forget about the most basic element of all – the walls that surround our living spaces. She also shares her recent experiences in Katmandu, Nepal where on a trip to visit her Precious Guru Lama Zopa Rinpoche, she is shown round a fabulous new concept conceived by Ven. Nyima Tashi with the Nepal Tourism Board – the Kapan Homestay Program – allowing those seeking spiritualism on a shoestring an affordable alternative to expensive hotels.
We also feature some of the hottest and most talked about celebs of today. Ox-Tiger Gemma Arterton of Prince of Persia and Clash of the Titans fame looks set to make it big, while Earth Boar Simon Cowell prepares to conquer America without American Idol. We also take a look at some of the Hollywood Greats from an era past, and bring you modern equivalents of our latter day idols. From the world of fashion, we put the spotlight on two Asian designers taking America by storm – Manish Arora and Prabal Gurung - whose designs are all injected with a whole load of Yang energy.
On a more macro scale, we take a look at the Feng Shui of Money and how the symbols used on currency notes around the world can affect the fortunes of whole countries and their economies. As we go to print, Lillian Too is busy preparing for her 3D Feng Shui event in Singapore; for those of you who want more of this, we feature some of what was taught in her full day seminar in our Cheat Sheet this issue, while Lillian also shares insights in Discovering Past Lives, revealing an extraordinary and exhilarating connection to her guru Lama Zopa Rinpoche, who first made contact years ago through a cryptic fax.
